Local Missions

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me … Jesus replied, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:35-40

At Moorings, we focus on two areas to do our part in our local community.  We focus on children, to enable them to have a brighter future, and families/individuals, who are experiencing food insecurity or poverty and hopelessness.

We are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty through education. The Early Childhood program provides children with quality daycare and preschool. Volunteers assist with elementary through high school students after school.

Helps Outreach promotes the Gospel and the Lordship of Jesus Christ among all people. The nonprofit demonstrates His love by providing goods and services, without charge, to those in need in our community.

To empower at-risk youth (grades K-12) to reach their full potential through tutoring, mentoring and faith.  New Horizons provides after school and summer programs.

Changing lives in a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined as well as provide housing for the homeless and food for the needy. Justin’s Place Recovery holds three graduations at our church throughout the year.
