Serving Together

Being a community of faith is a core value at Moorings, and serving together in the church, in the community or in mission is part of that. We hope you find a place to serve with us.

Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve…”

Serving in the leadership of the church is one of the most important roles a member can fill at Moorings. Members who are trained can serve in Sunday services, on visitation teams, on Session and the Board of Deacons. You can also serve on Presbyterian Women, Mission Outreach and other committees. If you or someone you know would like to learn more about serving as an Elder or Deacon, please contact the Nominating Committee between January 1 and March 1 when recommendations for the next class of officers will be accepted.  If you would like further information about serving on a committee or in Sunday services, please contact the Pastor’s Assistant.

There are so many ways that you can serve in the programs and ministry of Moorings. Contact the church business manager to sign up to serve today! Some examples of opportunities to serve include:

Several times per year, Moorings hosts opportunities to serve in local mission as well as on short-term mission trips to Haiti and Guatemala. If you have a special calling to serve our brothers and sisters in need, please contact the Mission Committee and get involved today. Opportunities include:
