Through the many care ministries at Moorings, our church comes alongside people with love and respect to care for one another.

Our teams of pastors, deacons and hospital visitors are committed to caring for our members and friends in times of crucial need.

Pastoral Care

When alerted to our needs, pastors and parish associates visit those who are hospitalized, in follow-up care or who need support at crucial times.

For pastoral care, please contact Natalie Gonzalez at (239) 213- 5225. For any health emergency, call 911.

Hospital Visitors

Dedicated Moorings members commit to extending the care of the congregation to members and friends who are hospitalized. If you or someone you know is hospitalized, please contact the church during normal business hours at (239) 261-1487.

If you would like to explore becoming a part of this team, please contact Natalie Gonzalez at (239) 213-5225.

Home Communion

Please let the church know if you or another individual would like to receive communion at home due to either a short-term or long-term issue that prevents you from joining us in worship on a Communion Sunday. Please contact Natalie Gonzalez at (239) 213-5225.

Our pastors, deacons and staff will walk with you in all phases of grief care, from the anticipation of loss to the planning a memorial service.

Bereavement

You are not alone. Pastors and deacons are available for visits and can provide resources to help you through your grieving process. If you are a member or friend of this congregation who has lost a loved one, please notify us of your loss by calling Natalie Gonzalez, executive assistant to the pastor, at (239) 213-5225.

Memorial Services

Planning a memorial service for yourself or a loved one is never easy.  At Moorings, we open our facilities to host memorial services for church members and friends who are active in the life of the church.  Our pastoral staff will help craft and lead appropriate services. Our staff and deacons will help you plan the next steps:

  • Meet with a pastor for care in anticipation of a loss.
  • Explore and reserve a date for the service.
  • Meet with pastors to plan the service.

To begin the process, please contact  Natalie Gonzalez, executive assistant to the pastor, at (239) 213-5225.

Memorial Garden

Moorings offers a place of peace and repose as a final resting place for the cremains of our church members and their immediate family. Our beautiful garden is open daily for prayer and reflection.

If you would like additional information about our Memorial Garden to plan for you or your loved one’s final resting place, please contact Natalie Gonzalez, executive assistant to the pastor, at (239) 213-5225 for a brochure or tour.

You or a loved one may benefit from our array of caring ministries that provide member-to-member support, welcome individuals from the broader community and that offer prayer support.

Support groups offer to care for one another in a setting where others have experienced the same type of life challenges. Our Prayer Ministry team receives your prayer requests and lifts them up to the Lord.

Deacon Care Pals

Our deacons are trained leaders of our congregation who listen, care, encourage and provide relational and spiritual support when life situations keep a member away from church for a prolonged period of time. If you or someone you know may benefit from such a friendship, please contact the church office at (239) 261-1487.

Prayer Ministry

Our prayer ministry team is an active prayer group that prays over the requests submitted. If you have a prayer request, please complete a blue prayer card and place it in the prayer box located in the church Narthex (lobby), or by completing this form.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Prayerful members of Moorings knit and crochet beautiful shawls which are blessed by our deacons through prayer and presented to individuals experiencing difficulties. When the shawl is wrapped around the recipient, it serves as a reminder of our prayers and the love of God in Christ. Please contact the church office at (239) 261-1487 if you know anyone who may benefit from a prayer shawl.

Each Sunday morning, Moorings buses currently provide rides to members and friends who reside at these communities:

Arbor Trace
The Glenview

If you need assistance getting a ride to worship, please contact the church at (239) 261-1487.

Moorings Park will provide rides for their residents with advance notice. Call them at (239) 643-9143.
