Middle school youth are welcome at Moorings where they will develop lasting relationships through fellowship, Bible study, mission work and while participating in youth gatherings and attending annual retreats.

Sundays

Begin in worship with your family at 10 a.m., then join your friends following the Word for Children for study. Students stay with their families on the first Sunday of every month to participate in worship and the sacrament of communion.

Middle School Fellowship

Middle school students (sixth-eighth grade) gather for fellowship, praise, Bible study, snacks and fun from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays during the school year. Need a ride from your middle school? Contact Alicia Rowland at (239) 213-5208 or click here to register.

There are also opportunities to attend youth retreats and other Christian gatherings year-round, as well as opportunities to serve others in mission work.

Confirmation

During students’ eighth-grade year, they begin Confirmation studies. Classes typically begin in January and run through May. Contact Alicia Rowland at (239) 213-5208 for more information.

High School students gather for fellowship, praise, Bible study, dinner and fun from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sundays during the school year. There are also opportunities to attend youth retreats and other Christian gatherings year-round, as well as opportunities to serve others in mission work. Middle and high school students regularly come together for outings and mission work. Join us for events like Rock the Universe, Montreat and Cedarkirk retreats and hear guest speakers. Plus, there are opportunities to praise God through music and recreation.

Rock the Universe

Join us for this Christian music experience at Universal Studios, now held each year in February. Registration is open to Moorings youth in sixth grade through high school and spots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Check back for registration information or contact Alicia Rowland.

Cedarkirk Retreat

Moorings Youth Cedarkirk Retreat: January 19-21, 2019

Cedarkirk  is in Lithia, Fla., situated on 170 acres near the Alafia River.

Urban Summer Mission Trip

CROSS Missions Trip: July 13-20, 2019

Students, sixth-grade through high school, are invited to take part in a week-long urban mission trip in Charlotte, N.C., working with eight different local mission organizations.
