Who We Are

Our Mission Statement

Love God. Love Others. Make Disciples.

Love God: We are called by Christ to surrender and submit our will to Him, to worship God in Spirit and in Truth, to pray, serve, to love God in our words and deeds. This does not “save” us, but is instead the appropriate response to a God who loves us so lavishly and fully. (Matthew 22: 37–38)

Love Others: We are called by Jesus to “love one another as Jesus has loved us,” to “love our neighbor as ourselves,” and to “love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.” (John 13:34–35)

Make Disciples: Jesus says “Come, follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men and women.” This means that each of us, no matter our role in the church, is called by God to be witnesses to the gospel of Jesus Christ in our families, in our local communities, and in the world. This is done through both word and deed. Our desire is to share Jesus Christ, and we pray others will place their faith in Jesus as redeemer, personally, as well as redeemer of the world. We are all learning together in this process. (Matthew 28:19–20).

Our Vision Statement

“Our vision is to be a vibrant, growing community of faith, where everyone is welcomed and encouraged to deepen their relationship with God and one another.”

Our Core Values

1) Unity in Biblical Faith

2) Worship as a Lifestyle

3) Service as a Life Pattern

4) Integrity in Relationships

5) Dedication to the Next Generation

Our Beliefs

1) God: We believe in one God who eternally exists in three equally divine persons – The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 13:14).

2) Scripture: We believe in the Bible, composed by people who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is infallible and contains the revealed truth which is necessary for all things regarding faith and morality. (2 Timothy 3:16).

3) Sin: We started out with the ability to follow God’s will perfectly, but we chose to turn away from God—this is called “sin.”  The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins, reveals our need for Christ, and empowers us to accomplish our mission. (Romans 3:23)

4) Salvation: Trapped in sin, we cannot find our way back to God on our own. Christ is the only way to God the Father (John 14:6).

5) The Church: The Church is a gathering of Christ followers who confess their faith in Him as Lord and Savior, acknowledging Him as the head of the church (Rom. 12:4-5; 1 Cor. 12:11,18,27).

6) Mission and Ministry: The gospel promises that everyone who believes in Jesus may not perish, but have eternal life. The church is called to proclaim this gospel promise to all nations and people (Matthew 28:16-20).

7) The Sacraments: Sacraments are visible holy signs and seals instituted by Jesus to understand the promise of the gospel and to seal it’s promise in us:

Baptism: Jesus Christ has commanded that all those who belong to Him are baptized. In baptism we die to our sins and rise into a new life with Christ (Romans 6:3-4)

Communion: During communion at the Last Supper with his disciples, Jesus broke bread and said: “take, and eat, this is my body, broken for you. Do this in memory of me.”. After supper, He took the cup and said, “Take and drink. This is the cup of the new covenant sealed in my blood, which is poured out for many.” We do as Christ commands in order to remember his sacrifice for us, be nurtured by his presence among us, experienced his sanctifying grace, and connect with other believers, by faith.

8) Church Discipline:: The true church governs itself, according to the Word of God, and rejects everything contrary to Scripture (2 Thessalonians 3:16, 3:14-15).

9) The Last Day: On the Last Day, the Resurrection of the Body occurs, leading into a New Heaven and a New Earth. While God through Christ has indeed secured redemption completely, we do not yet experience its fullness or “consummation.”. We look forward to the day that God will bring about the ultimate restoration of all things, under the headship of Jesus Christ (Revelation 21:4)
